My partnership with The Alumni recently connected me with local hip-hop artist Jimmy Eauxsean for a styling opportunity. I opted to snag some items from Fresh Goods Clothing a conceptual Streetwear clothing brand built on today’s Fashion. They combine the classic elements of intelligent color, in-your-face graphics, and smart details with the inspiration of popular trend. Through Fashion Iconography, they emphasize universal appeal and innovate creativity which fits this artist and his work perfectly.
about the artist…
Jimmy Eauxsean was born James Kishawn Efferson on July 24, 1986 in New York, later raised in the DMV (MD). He grew a passion for Hip-Hip from listening to Big L, Big Pun, Ma$e, Jay-Z, UGK, Notorious B.I.G. to name a few around the age of 9. By age 12 he met his close friend & producer De’Angello Powe (Rated-N) who instantly grew a custom to one another as a team when it came to making music. It wasn’t until the summer of 2006 when Jimmy started to take his love for music & being a rap artist more seriously when he moved to Atlanta, where he met his crew Committee City. The team linked up through a family member of Jimmy’s “Ikey-T” who was a member of the group at the time.
A turn of event sent Jimmy back to New York where he met another close friend of his Deena Jonez. The two started to work together and were also managed under actor James “JP” Parris. After deciding to go another route, he moved back to ATL and continued to work with Committee City where he learned a lot about the business & music industry behind the scenes & mainstream. After creating a buzz in NY & ATL, and having a son he moved back to the DMV and linked up with De’Angello (Rated-N) where his music career would lift off to great heights by creating his first EP “Flight Music”. The project generated so much love and overall great feedback. The two continues to work and are preparing for his next release this summer “The Son of M.A.R.S.”.
